Article 1.
The Treaty between the German Empire and the
Netherlands in regard to the extradition of criminals between the German Protectorates as well as the other
territories dependent on Germany, and the territory
of the Netherlands, as well as the Dutch colonies and
foreign possessions, of September 21st, 1897,
is
fully applicable also to the extradition of criminals
between the Protectorate of Kiaochow and the territory
of the Netherlands, as well as the Dutch Colonies and

foreign possessions, precisely as though the Protec-
torate of Kiaochow were inserted in Articles 2,
3
and in Article 7, paragraph 2, of this Treaty as a
territory dependent on Germany.
Article 2.
The Treaty shall be ratified and the ratifica-
tions shall be exchanged at Berlin as soon as possible.
The Treaty shall come into operation three months
after the exchange of ratifications and shall re-
main in force as long as the Treaty of September 21st,
1897, and lapse with it.
In witness whereof the respective Plenipoten-
Plenipotentiaries have signed the present Treaty, and
affixed thereto their seals.
